Hi Lynn
thanks for listening and the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it. It was fun to do.
It would have been nice though if I had got the title right - Blue SKY, Blue SEA, Blue me!!
cheers

Hi Ian
I dont think there are many who know what BIAB can do?

Nice work Ian, BIAB has come a long way since I first tried it in the nineties. I moved quickly on to Cubase on which I made many of my BTs until 2007 when I bought the Mac and was introduced to Logic by Warren Bennett, which I still use.
At the end of the day it's all good fun whichever method you choose and we are fortunate to live in an age where all of this technology is available to us for such an affordable cost. :)

Hi Ian

Very nicely done. I too always thought this was a great melody and a clever chord sequence but seemed to drag somewhat - the original, that is. At that time (1965) Hank had virtually dispensed with echo and I felt numbers like this sounded "dry" as a result. However, your switch to higher register, sweeter tone and the slightly quicker tempo breathed new life into the tune - well done. Hope to see you at Congleton next month, perhaps playing this live?

best wishes

Graham

Hi Franklin - yes BIAB is great. I know that you have it too and make some super tracks.
Hi Dave - hope you are continuing to improve. Thanks for your kind comment. I think BIAB bears no resemblance now from the 90's to todays versions. This BT was entirely done with RealTracks - actual musicians who have laid down samples for BIAB to cut and shut in accordance with the chords and Styles that you set. Having said that, the Highland Cathedral one used BIAB MIDI tracks entirely. So much choice.
Hi Graham - All being well, I will be at Congleton. I'll bring the BT along. BTW - the tempo / speed is STILL 95bpm - same as the record.
I'll do you a Deal - you learn the tune, I'll bring the BT for you to play to - OK?? No Pressure!! lol!
cheers

Hi Ian

I'm surprised the tempo is the same as the original. Because your arrangement doesn't drag it seems quicker - an interesting effect.

Deal or no deal?? Deal!!
