Hi Neil, that was very enjoyable and well played by both of you. The tune works very well as an instrumental.

Well guys – what a Performance!!
I thought that combining Eve Of The War with Forever Autumn was an inspired touch. Superb!!
I know they go together in the Show but I havent heard them played together as an Instro. Even I play them separately.
The main theme was very well played throughout, Neil and Tom stole the Show with the solo at 3.30 and the Outro. Stunning!
I would really appreciate some info as to HOW Tom got that OD harmonic “howl”. I hope it was achievable with simple kit cos I've been trying and failing to get that tone for ages.
Brilliant!

Hello Ian, yes it all works so well i think. I got Tom in to play all the clever bits, he makes it look so easy. He used to play heavy metal and says other material like what we play is so simple and is no challenge for him. But he started playing Shadows tunes many years ago but got bored as he progressed with his playing. As you can see he is playing a Super Strat very active and sensitive pick-ups.When he plugged in yesterday to record, the sound of his guitar was so much better than anything i have. All he used was a ZoomG21u he put a bit of echo and a bit of distortion mixed it up a bit and that was his sound. that harmonic howl was just part of his style, only used what i have said and his technique. He makes things look so easy he can listen to something and play it. I would give my right arm to play like that. Cheers Neil

Super combination of sounds and playing - loved it. Tom seems to be a gifted player and has a fantastic sound with his Ibanez - right up my street! What pedal/effect does he use for the o/drive? Great post.

Cheers, John
