Superb as usual Phil, nice vol control. The 56 looks really nice is it a Guitarmania one that they about 12/year made ?

Thanks for the nice comment. Cheers Phil

They do look the same on videos Phil. Custom Shops quality really shines when you compare them in person! Congratulations on the new guitar! Can you tell us more about the pickups?

Hi Robby - Chris Kinman contacted me and said the pickups I was using on my Brason strat (Kinman FV-HMS) were intended for Hanks Gypsy Jazz sound. I replied saying Hanks Gypsy Jazz is played on Maccaferri style acoustic guitars not Stratocasters.
He conceded and said all the guitar Techs' call his modern sound Gypsy Jazz but he can see the confusion and will be altering the description on his web site and just describe them for Hanks modern sound.
He offered to send me a set of his latest Impersonator 54's V3 pickups which he says more suits the sound of the Shadows.
So this gave me an excuse to buy another Strat to fit them on.
They came with a solderless K7 harness (includes all the electrics, pots,5 way switch jack socket etc) The K7 wiring allows the lower tone pot to be used as a pickup selector (Pos 10 on the knob is standard, Pos 1 brings in other pickups depending where the 5 way switch is positioned) They are very versatile and sound great to my ears.

Good to hear from you Robby - Keep those Chet style songs coming ! I wish I could play that style.
All the best.. Phil
