"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" was written by John Lennon, some of the credits to Yoko Ono, released in 1971 and associated with the famous bed-in. It did not meet with a great deal of success in the US, probably due to a lack of promotion, but was more famous in the UK and other countries. It has since become a Christmas standard, frequently covered, and appearing on compilation albums of seasonal music, and named in polls as a holiday favourite
