Now what I want to do is...... to either modify this label or make a new one that says 'Malcolm' instead of 'Marquee' with the same font etc.
Anyone any ideas ?

First, can you remove the "Marquee" label without scratching the varnish?

To make a new label, you can make it using a drawing software and then print it on either a clear decals paper or a printable slide paper.
I used to do that for scale models some years ago (for my grandson).

If the print is on the plastic, you could remove it, remove the print, use a decal on the actual headstock and fix the clean plastic over the top. I could always knock up a decal for you if you let me have the exact sizes.

Cheers all, Noel..... I might take you up on that, I don't yet know whether the writing is on a transfer or is etched into the rear of the perspex.

Right, the nameplate removes very simply with a penknife, there's only 3 pins holding it.
The lettering is a transfer on the rear of it.

If you can remove the transfer and send me the plate, I can make a reversed decal and put it on - just need to know the wording. Or, if you give me the precise dimensions, I can just send you the decal.
