You pays yer money etc etc.
Hi Dave,
Does your remark implies that you've used the BN already or is your comments an opinion based on my eTap2hw ('that no other has...') ? If the latter is the case you'll find the BN's analog behaviour to be different, more advanced and possible to your liking also. Money required to exchange for a product, the other remark, is no measure of quality at all!
Kind regards,
Piet
The comments that I made are based on my owning two different eTap machines, one solid state and one valve, the TVS3, the ESE Echomatic which is by far the best sounding, the Zoom G3x and the Zoom MS-70. I have spent substantial amounts of money in my quest and in all honesty should have stopped at the ESE Echomatic, because none sound any better or any more accurate. Charlie did the research and got it as close as I have heard with a digital unit, as did you Piet , but the H&C is a compact and easy to operate piece and he got it right first time, without endless proto-types and the need for us to keep spending more money, the H&C cost less money in total, than that of the path that leads to the current Blue Nebula (I have spent around £250 twice for eTap machines as well as over £200 for the Zoom machines that I no longer use) . For that reason I won't be buying one, as enough is enough. Had the eTap2 waited until this latest incarnation was available, I may have gone for it, but in the end the listeners don't care which echo machine one uses as long as it sounds good and that is usually a large percentage down to the player. I don't actually use my H&C or my ESE Echomatic, I use my trusty old Vox Tonelab SE, programmed by me and people don't know the difference.
We regularly play to sold out theatres and the comments from interested parties have never, ever been deteramental about my echo sound, in fact I have been asked if the H&C or ESE have been concealed because the sound suggests that they must have been used. I have total satisfaction in sound and avoid discussion wherever possible in and around my work.
The end product is from playing and the way you play and set up your equipment, sorry but there are no magic bullets that will achieve success for you without the effort and time.
