Kay Das (Los Angeles) appears in Kent this Sunday...

Postby JimN » 08 Aug 2013, 19:00

Want to meet up?

Hear Kay play some great steel guitar on Shadows numbers?

Come to The Plough (Langley, Maidstone) for 18:30 on Sunday (11th August).

In fact, bring a guitar and have a go (with a live band).

Place: The Plough At Langley; Sutton Road, Maidstone ME17 3LX, phone: 01622 842159.

It's located at the "Five Wents" junction, here:

It would be good to see you there, Roger.

Any of the old SMSE or current Kent Shadows Club people would similarly be very welcome.

Bumping this one back to the top as a reminder for this informal little get-together later this afternoon.

Anyone is welcome, with or without a guitar, though any players who want to join in would be especially welcome.

Handy for all of West Kent, East Sussex, etc.

See above for details.

Well, Kay turned up nice and early, and went on to wow the Plough crowd with a mixture of Shadows tunes, Hawaiian tunes and blues/rock, sitting in with the houseband, the Blues Mothers and with local heavy metaller Mark Simpson of "Shameful Behaviour".
