For those still following this thread and not already under the care of the Doctor - I can tell you that the aforesaid all-Black Strat with Burns neck made an appearance at Hankies last night and sounds excellent!! It did remind me of the Burns Black Bison from all those years ago but sounded amazingly - er - Strat-like. Well it would, wouldn't it?! :?
cheers

Hello Ian,

Keep in mind that this picture is a "fake" one I made to see how it looks. :D
I still don't know what body I'm going to use. I received the neck this morning and it is great.
At my age, there is no cure for madness :D

Well I fully intended to put a picture up here of the magnificent job Noel made of the Burns Malcolm motif for the guitar but unfortunately the thing split in half at the last tap of the pin that held it in.
Back to the drawing board........ grrrrrr.

Aghhh! Well, there are a couple of things you can do. If you can get a piece of perspex cut to shape, I can make a new decal, including the BURNS part (I have a tracing of the plate shape if you need it). Or, if you can fill the pin-holes, you can apply a new decal directly to the headstock.

I can cut a piece of acrylic to shape Noel, no prob, the old bit is wrecked.
Do you think that I could send it to you or could you send the decal to me ?
What a to-do, the last tap of the pin.
Cheers
