Hi David,
First, thanks for taking the time to record and post your sounds so far with this new beauty (and thanks also to Dave R if he "aided and abetted ?" whatever that means !)
Some very interesting comments, and always fascinating to be privy to the molecular sound dissection skills of those who have to spend a fair bit of time indoors. Out here in Wagga Wagga even the Shads (according to Bruce) had to play in a "tin shed ... 1967 or maybe it was 1966 ??), so, if we get a few notes right and the guitar is more or less red, everyone is happy. Usually after I play Kon Tiki, WL and The Savage, someone comes up and asks "can you do some Shadows tunes ??".
Anyway .. if I was driving home after recording those I would also have a grin .. Not bad for an old Rocker/ Burns era specialist with arthritis !!
PS. Loved the Kon Tiki chords, best I've heard ... and, the rest was obviously one of The Shads out takes.
However, can you post some piccies of the actual recording session, as to my ears there was a definite hint of Tort 4 ply pickguard, and we all know how the different light wavelengths affect the magnetic qualities of the pups ...
(Note to Bob D. ... Board enhancement ... can we have a small tick box scale that indicates blood alcohol level so postings can be interpreted with proper understanding.
)
Cheers
George
