New baby...

Postby David Martin » 02 Feb 2010, 08:45

Having started playing with the rock band on my Gibson Thunderbird (and found string response so uneven I couldn't correct it with either EQ or new strings) and then a Warwick Rockbass Vampyre (wonderful tones, fabulous value, difficult fingerboard for arthritic hand, and back breakingly heavy - as much as two original 70's Les Pauls all at once) I've settled on this beauty...

Sensible weight, great sustain, amazingly comfortable neck, fab sounds, and a wicked look...

Traded the Gibbo, Fender Jag Bass, and Warwick...

Beautiful bass. But I'm guessing it cost a wee bit more than my Squier P-Bass... (near mint condition - £80 on Gumtree!)

Dots on top edge of neck presumably.
I love these unmarked fingerboards. My seven-string was like that with an ebony neck 8-)

With my eyes closed?

Seriously... as I have a rotund stomach (!) I wouldn't be able to see fretboard dots anyway... it's really no problem.

(George: not so bad when part exchanging so much... :| )
