The Young Ones

Postby GoldenStreet » 22 Apr 2023, 22:44

Listening earlier this evening to Bernie Keith's Rock n Roll Heaven on BBC Local Radio, I heard something for the first time ever in over sixty years, relating to the classic The Young Ones track, which had been requested by a listener.

Just as Hank is about play the final solo passage at the end of the track, a voice can be heard urging ‘Go on, Hank’! I couldn’t help wondering what the source of the recording was, possibly a recent remastered/remix reissue or similar? Has anyone else heard this, by any chance? One for you, Ivo? :)

Apologies, false alarm, Bernie Keith has confirmed that it was his good self adding a personal touch to the track, fading the mic out as he was speaking.

Something of an anticlimax, really! :(

A pity, otherwise we maybe would have had another variant version for us collectors! :D In any case, thank you for investigating Bill.
