G1Four echoes.

Postby TimRyland » 09 Jun 2021, 12:56

Just received a set of echo patches for my G1Four unit from Dave Robinson. Tried them out this morning, and to say I’m impressed is an understatement. My signal chain is nice and simple being just a volume pedal, G1Four and Joyo ACTone. To my ears these echoes matched with the ACTone sound absolutely great.

As a bonus, for anyone just starting, or looking to replace older equipment, this is an amazingly low priced solution, especially as Dave gives out the patches for free.

He’s obviously put a lot of work into these, and to give them out for nothing is incredibly generous. And anything that keeps this style of music going is to be commended.

I know he does echoes for other Zoom units and if they’re as good as this you won’t be disappointed, just drop him a PM.

Hi Tim

I totally agree with you the patches are Excellent from dave , my configuration is a little different ie Vox AC15CH with matching Cab , i briefly tried the patches and i was playing along with the Shadows 20 Greatest hits album and the echo is really close or at least to my ears. The only issue i had was with the volume level and possibly the tone in odd area's but thats probably down to the way i have things set up. It was a brief test as i'm preparing the house for a installed of a complete new green heating system so everything it now packed away in boxes. But once its all done i will be able to set it all back up and have a proper play. Dave has done a wonderful job and he is so generous giving the patches away for free, also the help he gives and his time is marvelous and appreciated.

Paul x :) :D

Sorry I no longer have them for the G1four, you could ask someone to share them, I'm sure that they will. 8-)

Thanks Tim I accidentally deleted it after I sent the last one to someone as I got a bit confused with loads of different files on the desktop.
I do have the G3/G3X, G3Xn/G3n & G1Xon files. The G3x files work on the G5n.
