Cheers Dave for the new Patches.
I have to be honest - I personally can go with the Old set and the new. ( I understand this is Work In Progress)
I have been programming my G3X with additional effects to include later Shads numbers and others like Roger Paulsson - so I thought it essential to get to grips with the G3X.
Initially I did think I was not understanding the concepts - but when Dave sent his original set I realised I was on track. The main issue was using two or more Delays getting more echoes than I expected. I must admit I had the mindset to set up nice sounds and not worry too much how close to the original it was.
I based all my additional G3x settings on the Etap2HW plug in - loaded into my DAW.
I play with a MIM Deluxe Strat or a MIM Roadhouse Strat (9S)- so I am not going to get the single coil sound like a Marvin Strat - but :---
Over the last 9 months I have become very switched on to the sound with respect to the thickness of plectrum I use.
So using Dave's latest patches - for Apache and The Frightened City - if I use a thin Plectrum (M-L) - to me - its very close.
The amp kit is an MV50 and a BC112. Gain on 30% tone on 25%.
Dave - I note the Amp Simulation is used in the patches - I switch these off when going through the MV50/Bc112. Is this what you intended?
PS - Atlantis is pretty good(Medium Plectrum). Have not tried all the patches yet.
Very nice of you to do this Dave.
