Iain Purdon wrote:Thanks for the kind words. Jamming with Licorice is always rewarding, he’s very good at directing the rest of us as we play so that it all hangs together well. Credit also to John ‘Cubbyhole’ Stallard for shooting the video, recording the sound and assembling the footage so effectively. The only thing missing - a title for the number!

Your more than welcome. It's a great little video and, as you say, beautifully presented. A thoroughly professional job all round.

Thanks Simon. Original? Up to a point, yes, but also highly derivative. The 12 bar blues sequence allows each player to make it up as he goes along. However I think we were all playing patterns we were individually used to. The fun is in seeing how it actually goes and whether it comes to a tidy end. Licorice and Ian kept an eye on each other all the way through determining what might happen next, while the rest of us followed their lead.

Not much of a melody but happy to say this was the birth of the Licorice Bar Blues!
