Hi all,
I've just ordered a Zoom G3 effects pedal and awaiting delivery. Soon as I get the unit I'm hoping to get the Ross Halls echo patches for the Shadows music for the G3, Hope Ross Hall is still supplying the patches now that I have purchased the Zoom G3.

Hi
Be aware that the HAlls echo only works with the G3, not the new models called G3N.
Otherwise great unit and programme, I have used them for live work for years

Oh blimey. The unit is a g3n that's coming. They seem to be g3n's new on the web now. So that looks like I can't have the Ross hall patches then

I've just checked up on Ross Halls site and he supplys the patches for the G3 G3X & G5. I browsed all over the internet and each of those zoom models have a "n" after them. What does the "n" stand for anybody?

Gary,
Yes, it is bad news I'm afraid as I can confirm that Ross's EFTP echoes will not work with the G3N nor the G5N. I spoke with Ross a few months ago to confirm the position; he did explain to me the reason why but I'm afraid it went beyond my understanding. If you have ordered your G3N on-line then you will able to return it for refund under the distance selling regulations as long as you do it fairly promptly. The best solution is to find a second-hand G3 or G3X (the X version is the same but has a foot pedal) - and they do come up regularly on E-Bay (there's a few there now, in fact). Installation of the patches is very simple and explained in the paperwork that comes with them from Ross.
Best of luck
Ian

Hi Joe,
thanks for the information. I purchased the Zoom G3n from a company called Gear4music near York. I'll send it back when it arrives and search for the older version of the Zoom G3 so I can get the Ross Hall's patches for it.
Regards
Gary

Just managed to purchase a G3x unit from Ebay for £84
Now I can get Ross Hall's patches when the unit comes.
