Hello Didier,

Sent you a PM (to your hotmail) in case you have further questions.

Shortly, hopefully this is not too far off topic for this section:

I built a replica of a Meazzi tape echo, of course no tape heads or motors. Then adapted the eTap2HW DSP code in the Spin Semi OCT module to separate the head playback and feedback head outputs for processing those through the Meazzi valve circuitry. This is how it was done in the Meazzi. Concept is simple though a lot of work.

Hope that helps.

Regards,
Johan.

I've made a few test recordings using my newly-built valve hybrid eTap unit. This old classic and a few more.

These recordings are all one takes, so not perfect at all. Please note these are without any modification or studio post processing of EQ. It's live from the speakers to give you an opportunity to hear what it sounds like played through some of my guitars and amps used for gigging.

Great authentic sound ! My etap2 hw is currently in production. Hope that I will get it soon than I can compare
between an Atlantis 1, an Amtech age pro a Yamaha Magicstomp with EFTP an Echolette E 51 ( vintage tube )
and maybe an ESE Echomatic IV ! I will not do at first recordings I want to get a very very good live tone with
my different VOX amps ( JMI and vintage ones ) and my different Stratocasters. What I can say today after
a lot of comparisons is that the Atlantis 1 does not color my amp. The basic sound is the same if you blend out
the echo. The "tube drive" and the sweetspot in the tone can you reach if you turn the toneknob clockwise.
Then it sounds amazing.
This is not with the Magicstomp. It colors and changes the sound of the guitar. Sound not very warm and some=
times brittle. But as I said I`ll talk about live experiences not recordings !

What did Hank only use in his younger years - a Strat - an amp and an echo unit - and no other paraphernalia !!
