Just thought I would mention here I used my eTap2hw on stage last night through my amp and it was fine, no noise and great echoes - I believe that my power supply was from Maplins. :idea:

Dick, it's a 12V, 1A supply off a Netgear router. I also tried it with another psu and I didn't find much if any difference.

Try an old fashioned transformer style PSU, switching supplies can cause all kinds of noise..

I'll have to make a trip to the nearest Maplin store for the cheapest PSU I can find ;)

I'll maybe rig up a 12V battery supply first to check if the PSU is the culprit.

ps...............the supply I'm using is a Netgear dv-1280-3uk (12va with the correct 240v rated input)......heavy old thing ;)

How noisy is noisy? (No I'm not being silly...) my eTap produces the Brian May "snowstorm" but quietly...
