Things have certainly moved on in the last fifteen years or so, I remember thinking I had the world with the Quad GT which was good back then. Not that it isn't today, but you get so much more for your money and by comparison to the price of similar stuff back then, these new Zooms are a steal.
I spent the time since my last posting about this, about five hours, working out all the Shadows echoes and programming them in, as well as my Duane Eddy and Gary Moore sounds along with a straight through sound and tremolo and chorus added - 10 patches in all, enough to do a regular gig. I must say it's been enjoyable and did have to refer to the manual a few times to programme the swell and wah pedal, but it's done now and the other banks will be easy now I've done this.
I've set it up for a live gig using my Boogie, but I need to get the same programmes installed with amp modelling to go through my Bose system for when I go back soloing again. It certainly keeps the brain going !
