Some sad news to tell all the people who have come along to our meetings and our annual galas over the last 25 years.
Les who you all knew as the man who was often on the sound desk passed away at the weekend at home.
Les was a much respected, long standing member of the Club, always among the first to get involved. He was regularly seen at the meetings and was always there ready to chat.
Although a proud Liverpudlian and close friend of George Harrison , Billy Fury and Paul McCartney, (members affectionately calling him 'Danger Scouse'), Les loved the Yorkshire coast. He had many interests; joining many local groups and will be missed by people and societies throughout our local community.
Our immediate thoughts are now with Madge and family. I have passed on our collective condolences .
