When are you going to sell me your "new" Meazzi?

I've heard all the Meazzis I ever want to hear - they still don't do it for me, I'll stick with my ESE thanks, less hassle, less expense and just as good.

There can be no way forward until the attitude of the Great Wyrley committee is known.

Thanks Dave, and you're right about the Meazzis.
I've heard quite a few lately and not yet one I like.

O.K. then. Roger Bayliss and myself have just returned from an impromtu meeting with some of the committee members at Great Wyrley.

Our intentions were to make them aware of venue options open to us of late. Furthermore that we needed a reduction in the rent.

We pointed out to them the money spent on drinks during a Hankies session and asked that they might discuss these facts at their earliest
opportunity.

The next full committee meeting is in three weeks time however,All were agreed that they did not wish to lose us and
they did agree to discuss the matter (s) and get back to us a.s.a.p.
The bottom line will probably be a reduction of up to 50% in the rent.

I hope this will benefit everybody. Will those of you who know folks not online etc. please inform them.

We'll know more in due course. In the meantime, they're not expecting us next Tuesday.

Cheers, Alan.

p.s. The President's name is............................Malcolm. :D

Yes the agreement was to meet at the Saddlers next Tuesday and we have told Gt Wyrley we are not coming. Please continue to debate and make feelings known and whether half rental is acceptable .. if we get it.

I have told Roger Busby as not online.

I'll be quite happy wherever we play, It was quite a good night at the Saddlers so I see no problem there.

The only downside is the size as far as I can see. Obviously it was difficult last week as we didn't know what to expect and we would obviously
need to organise it properly so that we weren't overloaded with amps etc

I will go with the majority but would be quite happy to continue there

Good men.
Having done that, I've now told Jock at the Saddlers we won't be there onTuesday .
When I receive emails that say;
> I'm assuming it's business as usual and unless I hear to the contrary will
turn up.( at Great Wyrley ) Certainly, of those I spoke to there were a number, myself and
Roger Bayliss included, who would prefer to keep on at Great Wyrley for the
time being.

I assume that people's minds are made up already and I had already half made my mind up to start a new club.
Shall I go and tell Jock at the Saddlers we'll carry on for a while ? He was very amicable and the door is still open to us .
Or do you wish to go look at the Pretty Bricks ?
It is a more private room although there are stairs there, in fact we would use the fire escape .
If push comes to shove though Al Bakewell will probably give Keith a donkey up them.
Let me know your feelings, this has been a good process. "If you want peace then prepare for war ".
