This one beats a Crossroads episode.
I ran a club in St Neots and we had the same problem, the cost of the room, we ended paying £60 and that was coming out of my pocket mostly as we could not charge enough to cover costs.
So we closed. We had people driving up to 2 hours to our meetings and now we have nothing in the area.
Ange and I now go to the Warwick club which is 1 hour 45 mins but worth it.
Good luck with your effort.

Here's picture of my daughter's dog to introduce a spot of levity into the thread.

How long before they put the price up to £35 if we don't stand up to em ?

As I recall, my words to Roger on the phone went something like, "Come and have ten minutes with me at the club. I want to suss out the general
attitude towards our proposals. We won't take the Pelsall Pirate, he's likely to tell 'em to shove the flippin club up their jackies and knock some
poor soul out of the nearest window." Yes, it went something like that.

That little dog's a cracker Ecca. Bring him over, Alfie can show him how to find rabbits.
To know and have known the love of a little dog is a truly wonderful thing.

Walsall eh!!

Laptop has only 192MB of memory, no wonder it's slow!!

I have some SODIMMS somewhere, if they are the right spec and bigger I'll
give it a bigger mind!

Trust Crawler Bakewell to cast aspersions on my previously unblemished reputation, Pelsall Pirate indeed.
I much preferred "The 5th Earl of Bloxwich "
If you don't have any memory Manda let me know what to get and I'll get it.
Would a USB stick or drive help us Hankies with backing tracks ?

and what terrible spelling........it's 'Jacksies' not 'Jackies'

O.k. Will do, a 1GB stick would improve matters, it's a 2.8GHz Intel (De)celeron processor in it
so it should work faster...

Ebay prices are about 20 quid!

A USB stick won't be needed, there's about 28GB left on the HDD, enough for all the tracks we'll need!
