Why don't guitar shops have full length mirrors?

Postby RayL » Fri Dec 31, 2010 5:43 pm

Here's a thought for the New Year - why don't guitar shops have full length mirrors? You see people sidling up to glass-fronted display cabinets for a glimpse and you just know that they want to check whether they look cool but the cabinet isn't high enough and chops their head off.

Maybe there's an opening here for an enterprising internet firm. The potential buyer has a full-length picture taken of themselves in 'air guitar' mode and then uploads it to the shop's site. They then choose a guitar and it is superimposed on to their pic. Might sell a few guitars, eh?

You obviously have too much time on your hands posing in music stores
I jest ;)
Interesting thought though. I mean the wives get mirrors in shoe shops to look at their feet

Not much use to me- a short fat bald short legged old bloke- not even a posh Strat etc would make me look good...

Yeah but you could always wear a baseball cap and try out one of these 3/4 lenth Strats 8-)
Balance it out a bit :D
As for the old - I tend to look at myself as mature and sophistocated in an antique sort of way
