The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mtaetr in what oerdr the ltteres in a word are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is that the frsit and last ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can still raed it whotuit a pboerlm. This is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the word as a wlohe. Azanmig huh? Ah! but at least the words still contain the same letters. It's when people make up their own spelling confusion occurs. Or failing to know the difference between their & there, here & hear, your & you're etc.

Call me old fashioned but I think a basic grounding in the workings of one's native language is important in maintaining standards.

Inetsreitng pecie, tohguh, Deerk.

PS I've got a computer keyboard which takes it upon itself to miss out letters altogether, creating a message which even I can't understand.

Kind regards to all.
