You will still have IE in the background as part of the operating system for Microsoft Updates -unless Firefox etc have suddenly included that capability none of the add-on browsers will do the update thing.
BTW, any of you people worried about security tried Open DNS yet? Fast becoming an industry standard, and its free. Take a look at:

I started using Firefox last week and so far no problems, it appears to work a lot quicker than IE, you can also see it checking downloads for virus's, so I will stick with it .

No question, Firefox is the better browser, its faster too, not prown to as many virus's and plenty of add-on's are available.
I went from IE7 to 8 and had nothing but trouble, firefox cured it all in a simple download. Would never change back.
