So Paddy is working as an electrician in New York when he gets a phone call from the prison governor.
Paddy, he says, the electric chair is due for its annual inspection and service. Can you come and do it?
So Paddy goes to the prison and is taken into a room containing the electric chair and left alone to get on with the inspection.
30 seconds later he comes running out of the room shouting"I'm not touching that thing it's a bloody death trap"

Well I thought it was funny anyway.
