Hi all,

Today, December 24th, Christmas Eve, when you wake up in UK, I will be a ... retiree.
It's my last day at work

Now, the schedule will be: guitar, guitar, guitar, voyages...
May God grant all of us good health and peace.

I am glad I can carry my Mustang amp and I' m ready to travel the word for a ... gig ... ha ha!.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a sane and serene new year.

Blessings,
Abel

Excellent news Abel. I wish you a long and happy retirement.
And of course, many of them filled with your own brand of
splendid musicianship.

Cheers, Alan.

Hi all,

The thing is that I have been working non-stop since ... 1964.
It was about time for me.

I worked all the way till I got my doctor's degree in 1983 and then beyond till ...Yesterday.

I am mostly happy to be able to practice and play guitar like I should have done long time ago.
Anyone up to form a band? ha ha! Eric (Ecca)? ... online?

Merry Christmas and blessings to all,
Abel

Hi all,

Thank you for your wishes.

My boss gave me a $100 gift certificate for McCabe's guitars.
They specialize in acoustic and stringed instruments. If you come to LA, you have to go there and visit, it's a must.
I saw Tommy Emmanuel there. He played there several times.

I took my cheap Chinese Gypsy student guitar ($350) and they graciously turned it in a $850 one and put a
It plays wonderfully now. They even put a Hot Spot pickup on it and all for ... $100.

Gypsy swing is back in my agenda now.

Blessings,
Abel

Hi all,

Alan,
I am just realizing how right you were when you said: "you’ll soon wonder how you had time to work".

I am busy all day and haven't had time to even play guitar yet.

I just listened to a beautiful Gypsy tune by Angelo Debarre called "Valse a Bamboula" and I will get on
it as soon as I come back from the ... NAMM show.
I was lucky to have been granted a 4 day pass by a friend and I will be heading to the NAMM tomorrow Friday and will
return on Sunday God willing.

If anyone has a question or wants info or documentation from a booth (you can look it up online line at https://www.namm.org/thenammshow/2019)
, let me know. I could eventually buy something you need (it has to be small though) and mail it to you.
Please give me the reference for the piece and the booth number as it is a huge event.

Blessings,
Abel
