Question for insiders,

How did Cliff manage to get the most famous Strat back, to be played by Bobby Harrison on his 80th aniversary tour?
Just 2 tickets for Bruce and Brian?
And of course does he still have it in his possession, Cliff that is.

I suspect nobody here can answer that. My own guess is that this is business and all the key associates are well aware of that. The idea of it NOT being made available doesn’t bear much scrutiny.

When you are a millionaire and can have your pick of any instrument on the market, one red Strat is the same as any red Strat.

Not strictly correct. Rich or poor, sentimentality will come into it.

So nobody on this forum knows the facts.
Dissapointing.

If I was Cliff, I'd have just given Bruce a call and asked if I could borrow it. It could then have been picked up by a courier (at my expense) and taken anywhere. And returned the same way when I'd finished with it. Similarly, if I was Cliff I'd know that the guitar meant far more to Bruce than it did to me and I'd have no qualms about giving it back. That's what I would have done... and I suspect that Cliff would have gone about it much the same way.
