The convenient car parking facility is one of the main reasons that we like this theatre as well as the fact that it is a good sounding room and has a nice intimacy about it. We knocked off some of the old stuff at the Dusty Miller on Wednesday and it's sounding tight, it's great to have Dave Eyre and Jock back with us again and it looks like it may happen more frequently than first thought.
I'm back playing guitar with Dave Berry tonight as a 'Cruiser' at a gig at the Lincoln Showground - looking forward to working with The Tremeloes once again after many years . . . :)

Too right Peter ! I can't tell you how it pees me off that the word that is the name of one of my former bands should now mean what it does in the gay community, there's no poufftas in this outfit though.

It was good gig last night and great to touch base once again with Ricky Westwood and Dave Munden, The Tremeloes are still a great sounding band with a one hour set full of their hits - not a single cover. One thing that was noticable, Ricky doesn't use the powerful edgy sound that he was known for back then that we hear on the likes of 'Candy Man', his sound has mellowed dramatically, though I didn't see any Tremeloes 'anoraks' giving him grief about it .

Back in the day there was no gay community, when camp had a tent in it and a cruiser was a sleek boat :D or a car :?:
Mind you back in the day there weren't any anoraks either!
Perhaps things that last should mellow with age ;)
Pleased you enjoyed the gig..... long may they continue
Take care

You Guys should worry!.............................SWMBO's late step-father headlined year after year in a summer show called "Gaytime"!!!
Anyroadup, Dave, glad to hear you had a great gig at Lincs Showground - only just up the road from us - I'm assuming that it was part of the big Motorhome Show taking place there.
My (minor) understanding of Motorhoming leads me to think that there probably WERE a lot of anoraks there - but in the original sense of the word!
Looking forward to the Acorn gig next Friday - see you there.
Regards
Paul

There you go Paul, many a true word spoken in jest eh . . . . . yes it was the motorhome show and there were hundreds of anoraks as it was bloody cold. That said, the place was sold out - and it's massive.
Because we hadn't played together for five years, we decided to have a practice and we are looking forward to seeing you on Friday. ;)

Just arrived back from Worksop, after a truly FANTASTIC gig by Past Masters!
What a show! Fine musicianship from all six on stage - Dave Eyre's "Little B" brought tears of unbridled delight to my eyes - and fine production/light show from those in the control cabin at the back.
This show was - quite literally - "Cheap at TWICE the price"!!
Dave - your band is NOT Past Masters, but most definately CURRENT Masters. Well Done, and thanks for an excellent evening of Rock 'n Roll.
Regards

Thanks Paul, it was great to be part of that gig and we enjoyed it more than we have done for a long time, I agree that Dave's 'Little B' was stunning - even though he only began 're-learning' the number a couple of weeks ago. It will happen again with this line up, we are already looking at possible dates.
Thanks too for the wonderful praise that you heaped upon us, though the name 'Past Masters' was intended to represent the material that we perform rather than suggest that we were that . . . . . . because of our ever increasing waistlines we often have a chuckle that our name rhymes with 'Fat Bas***ds'.
In days of dwindling audiences and apathy towards live music in general, we always appreciate the support from you guys and thank you once again for showing up. :)
