There is a memorial gig for Mo at 229 in London this evening. Many top musicians will be there and some will be performing. Some of us are going and will doubtless report back!

Iain, enjoy yourself, I'm sure you will. Although, having said that, it will certainly be an evening with mixed feelings. I'm interested to know who will be present and/or performing and what tracks will be played.

Nothing Shadowy about the music! All genres were represented, the playing standard was mesmerising. The audience was as full of musicians as the stage. It was a brilliant and funny evening. No egos on display.
Brian Bennett and Clem Cattini came on for just one number simply to contribute percussion. They weren’t there to show off, just to be part of a tribute to a dearly loved colleague in the business they all shared.
Remember the wonderful rich bass notes in Judie Tzuke’s hit Stay with me till dawn? They were played on the record by Mo. Judie came on to sing it last night. As the sheer pros they were, they gave us as perfect a reproduction of the original as you could hope for.

To quote a Facebook post from another attendee- "musicianship which was off the Richter scale".
