Pipeline Convention 1993-2014

Postby George Geddes » Sun Apr 09, 2023 8:45 pm

Twenty-eight years ago, I attended my first Pipeline Convention (having missed the first two) and in 2014 I was there at the final one, and introduced the last-ever band to play at the Convention. In between, I heard lots of great bands and met loads of great people and fellow fans. Pipeline was a fixture on the calendar on Easter Sundays.

I don't miss travelling at the holiday weekend, but I do miss the buzz. It could be tiring, but it was great to be part of it.

Thanks to Alan, Dave and the rest of the team, and all the bands who took part, not for money but for the love of the music.

Fully agreed, George.

Easter Sunday at home still feels sort of strange...

Indeed , nice to look back and for me who attended 1993-1999.
Remembering many absent friends and relatives who provided B&B in London at the time.
Special thanks must go to Alan and Dave for their dedicated input.
