Sad news, RIP Phil...he was Tommy Emmanuel's' elder brother and also a superb guitarist.

I have just been watching the brothers playing a Shads medley - wonderful.

I was watching Phil's brother Tommy play a concert at St Georges, Bristol just 2 days before this sad event so Tommy must have been in mid tour when it happened. Incidentally, his support act, the hugely talented Frank Vignola, played a medley including a very jazz flavoured version of Apache. Afterwards he said, "High Five to Hank Marvin and then " High Two" after a Django Reinhardt number. The guitarists in the audience got the joke. Sad news indeed about Phil Emmanuel.
