Sad news.
Buddy was one of the last of the better post-war singers of the American songbook. I got into conversation about him a few weeks ago on Facebook.
He did a storming version of Rodgers and Hart's The Lady Is A Tramp as a hit single and I particularly remember this other live recording (issued as a 45) from the mid-1960s.
RIP, Buddy.
