The Cruel Sea

Does anyone know the bass notes in the run down at the end of 'The Cruel Sea' by The Dakotas? It's very indistinct on the recording. So far I'm working with two options:

A Ab G Gb F E D C A
and
A Ab Gb F E D C B A

I use to play this (bass) in the 60's. As far as I know, the chords and bass are as follows : AA G E D A. The first A's are G string 2nd. fret - finishing on the open A after running down through open G, E and open D. Hope this helps.

Thank you Ian and Jay for your replies. You both have the same ending which plays in unison with the lead. Yet I definitely hear a run of four notes per bar. I supose I'll just have to play the one that I think fits best.

Jay, all those semiquavers! I think I'll stick to crotchets!

Hi eric
The semi Quavers Are more for The lead part, The bass should be Crotchets
I Managed To listen to the version by the dakotas It does have a different end
|A G# G F# F E D C | A || sounds close to me ?
though as you say its a bit indistinct.
