Buddy was an amazing drummer, I often watch his tutorials on YouTube in the hope of learning a bit. :)

I've always thought that if you brought together a few musicians and asked the "who is the best guitarist/pianist/violinist/trumpeter/whatever", you'll always get a complete miscellany of answers complete with reasons why. But bring together any number of drummers and ask "who is/was the best drummer?" they'll invariably all say "Buddy Rich". The Guv'nor himself has frequently sung Buddy praises and if you study Brian's solos you'll recognise loads of Buddy's influences.

anything, really. And keep your eyes glued to his left hand. Breathtaking!

Buddy Rich said he never practised so I wonder how he got that good. Is he still around I think was playing in big bands during the war
