Just tried the ptfe today. Works really well.
As for the grub screw thingy....My Ibanez has that set up and the grub screw has now snapped inside and I'll probably have to drill it out if I want to fix it. I have'nt tried the tape on that guitar, dont know if it'll work that well as its a push in type of tremolo arm and not threaded. Wont know til I get home in jan

Please be aware that VML take great exception to people copying their design. You may well hear from them if you do it, or encourage others to do it... :o

Was Brian May's 'cranked' tremolo arm before or after VML's easy mute? ;)

Do you ever find you've been happily going through life, totally unaware of a problem that, apparently, is besetting everyone else? The Fender trem arm is such a one with me. First, I have never had a problem muting with the standard arm and, secondly, the arms on my Strats stay in place perfectly. Am I just unknowingly lucky?

Also, I must say the EM seems rather pricey for what you get!

I agree about the price but mine came with the guitar. I don't think I would have bought it separately at the prices they go for as it's really just a cranked arm. I would hate to think the price was inflated because it was endorsed by a certain Mr Marvin!
