Hello all,

Finally, I decided to paint it in metallic blue. I think it gives a 60's look and it goes very well with the pickguard.
Who cares if there was never a metallic blue Burns Bison :D

I installed Ironstone Gold pickups with 5-way rotary switch instead of the lever selector. The sound of these pickups is great, almost identical to the Kinman I have on my Stratocastert DeLuxe 1974. I shielded the cavities with copper foil and 2 layers of shielding paint. This is very effective and eliminate unwanted noise.

I made the headstoke logo from a piece of plexiglass, but I still have to print a clear decals with a bison head (like the one seen on the tremolo of the Burns 62) to put behind it. No name on it. It's not a replica and will never be.

All black, black with pearloid scratchplate...

Yeah, I've seen some beautiful black Strats too. All black except for the maple fingerboard.
I agree that the usual black with white scratchplate looks kinda plain.
When I was looking a some Squier Strats with a view to purchase, it was the least likely choice for me.

What a change to that Bison 8-) The colour really sets off that scratchplate too.
