Exactly. It's possible to be fairly certain that they are destined to be Strat necks because the only maple necks made with that headstock shape are for Stratocasters. Jaguar and Jazzmaster necks - with a similar shape headstock - have the applied rosewood fretboard attached before they ever start to look like guitar necks (they're still just rectangular blanks at the glueing stage).
