It's only within the last few weeks that I've started to try and play some Shadows music, having decided to give my family (and neighbours!) some respite from my Hendrix repertoire!

One of my amps. is the Vox AD120VT, which is probably the most appropriate to play through. As the Shadows 'sound' is not something I've gone after before, I'd appreciate it if anyone can offer any 'ballpark-type' settings to get me started. I'm just a home player..........

At some stage in the future, I may entertain the Forum with the story of the 14 year-old (me then) who unbeknown to his parents, withdrew £115 from his savings in 1963 and turned up at Frank Hessy's in Liverpool in his school uniform and bought an AC30....!

Stephen.

Hi Stephen,

For older stuff try this:

(Compared to the clock face)
AMP TYPE: AC15
GAIN: 1
VOLUME: 12
TREBLE: 2
MIDDLE: 12
BASS: 8
PRESENCE: 10

For modern sound: BASS: Full

Hope this helps
