hi i know a few of you play gibson sg`s whats the best model to go prices seem to vary a lot. then i notice there is a les paul sg??? never played one before. there seems quiet a mixture out there. probaly a used one. thanks peter

There are several different sorts of SG model, and they usually sound different from each other. The basic types are:
(a) two (sometimes three) humbuckers (Standard/Custom, modern "Specials")
(b) two P90s (the original "Special" and the modern "Classic")
(c) one P90 (the Junior).
What sort of 60s sound do you want?
Name a player or two, or perhaps a record or two...

hi jim, mostly in the shadows type music not to copy them just that type or style. beatles clapton that sort of thing if you can understand that. no heavy metal no punk nothing in that vain. seems a bit confused haveing wrote it down??
