Just noticed this on E Bay current listing
Probably used around the time of Big Bad Bass early 64?
A bit pricey at nearly £3000 but a piece of history for completists!!!!

I haven't got the strength to lift and carry an AC30 now.

I can’t find this listing on eBay. There’s a few 1964 models on there at comparable prices but no attribution to a specific player. I’d want a lot of provenance to spend this kind of money on a bass amp, especially as you can get better ones, way less heavy and much less expensive.

I have had the pleasure of playing bass through an AC30 used by John Rostill, later the private property of Licorice Locking and maintained by the East Yorks club. It couldn’t compete with modern equipment on stage but if mic’d up it sounded decent enough. I’m glad to have had that opportunity. I wouldn’t want to buy it though!
