Hi Steve,

There is no reason why it shouldn’t, in the past I have had to combine a lead with adapters to get the gender connection needed or for dual input/output. If needed you can also get simple audio mixers fairly cheaply:

The only potential downside is that you will be relying on the quality of the laptop sound card, but providing you are using s device that gives a line level output it should be fine.
