It is different of course and well played. We hear the original and its Tributes all the time, so hearing it played like this and getting a modern rock treatment is a breath of fresh air and keeping the Shadows legacy alive amongst the younger generation. Not everyone's cuppa, but I enjoyed it.

Somebody has put up a review on the Galaxy, in which he compares it to the Echofix Real Roland tape echo, made in Australia.,which is essentially a Roland space echo with improvements. The comparison is fairly short towards the end of the review, but seems to be close. He is a longtime user of the Roland echos and knows it well. He speaks well of the Galaxy and mentions the recent Boss Space echo pedals, which he described as digital sounding. The Galaxy as he described, gives him what he expects of the Space echo. So here is a first comparison to the real echo and seems the Galaxy is a bargain for those looking for the Roland clones., compared to the cost of a real Roland unit of over £2000. :D

Some maybe interested in this comparison of the Galaxy and Volante pedals side by side. We know the Volante is great. The Galaxy is a different emulation altogether of course, but the quality of the echos shows. The Volante does shine very well here too.

There are some comparisons by this uTuber, to the Boss RE202 ans RE2 which are much brighter sounding and I think the Galaxy does a great emulation of tape. So if you are looking for a Roland Space Echo emulation, the Galaxy seems to be one of the better pedals out there. Still hoping to see a full comparison of the Galaxy to a real unit in due course.
