I've seen quite a few of those creamy white knobs with the ribbed sides on EBay from time to time, as they were pretty common on fifties & sixties audio appliances.
It's worth searching there amongst the 'job lots'.

Hi Dave
I have done lots of searches before posting , They are called cupcake knobs with pointer.
I have found a few for sale but its the base diameter/width i would like to know if any body has one
so the pointer sits just inside the gold ring, ones currently ready available on ebay are 25.5 mm
which are to big.
