Apache - Squier v USA Fender demo
Posted: Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:28 pmOne or two people asked if I would compare high end Fender with the Squiers, so being as I worked out how to do it here we go.
I used my Squier Classic Vibe 50s, a Chinese Squier Strat and my USA Fender AVRI for this comparison.
The guitars are all nicely set up and are used in our shows, so no favourites here.
One thing is certain, there is NOT £1650 difference between them.
Boss Katana 100 head, DI into desk (though any decent amp will do) with the Alesis Microverb. What you see is what you get and anybody should be able to get this sound with this kit.

Most decent Strat copies can do the job, with a good set-up, reasonable Alnico pickups, & a little knowledge of Hank's style & technique. ....... And, of course, the talent to be able to play that way.
