Fender Bassbreaker 30R

I have a confession to make- I’ve committed the heinous crime of getting rid of my AC30. The weight of the thing was getting too much, and lifting it in an out of the car was a total pain, so I started investigating replacements, and came across this review from Andertons:

I was impressed enough to check it out for myself, and I was completely blown away by it. Unusually for Fender, it’s EL84 based, and to my ears, sounds more like I think an AC30 should sound than my AC30 did, and it’s half the weight. The clean and drive channels are equally stunning, it comes complete with footswitch and cover, and is under £700. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the cat’s pyjamas, well worth checking out if you’re looking for a gigging amp that doesn’t induce a hernia or a slipped disc!
