I didn't intend to do any recordings of myself because is is a well worn road and there are only so many times one can play Apache & Wonderful Land and seriously expect people to react.
However I am aware that people are interested in what possible differences there are with the vast price points being the issue here.
I'm still waiting for my Meazzi to return, but before I sent it to Amanda, it did sound terrific and I liked what I heard, as I said here, there's a massive tonal thing ruling the sound from a Meazzi.
I think if I was to demonstrate the subtle or otherwise differences between the TVS3 and the Zoom G3n by way of using the A-B splitter boxes, with and without a backing track, it should satisfy the curiosity of those who are wondering if the extra money is necessary to spend to achieve what they see as their own goal.
Personally I have an interest in both camps because I like to save people unnecessary expense but I also appreciate perfection, so I win - or lose on both counts, whichever way you see it. One always has to be mindful that music is a fun pastime and I have benefitted greatly these past few years in particular, as it helped me get through the trauma of cancer and the subsequent treatment.
I will never, ever look upon this as a contest simply because there is room for everyone at whatever level and every device at whatever price, my goal is to help people achieve theirs as cheaply as possible and show the differences where I can. Emiel, I will consider what to play and how to present this demonstration, if anybody has any ideas on what would be a good test piece, I would love to hear from you.
