Quadraverb GT

I seem to have a odd problem with my Quadraverb GT. Every so often the volume fades or cuts out. I don't believe its the practice amp. as I've tried the same set-up but with my Zoom 508 foot pedal and no problems. I wonder if any one could suggest what the problem could be caused by ?
