Thanks for the news of my old Legend. Was it still with the guy I sold it to, do you know?

Hi, Brian,

Obviously, I don't want to gratuitously give out names on the internet, but I think the answer is "yes". He certainly recognised your name.

I actually had the guitar here at home for a few days (near your old ES-175!) to set it up with 11-49s. Now it stays in tune again.

Best wishes,

JN

Hi Bojan,

I don't at the moment have a good photo of my custom doublesix, but if you go on to the Burns website under "players" you will find a picture of me playing it with my band.

I had it made in redburst to black, black on white scratchplates, maple fingerboard (with black binding) and all goldplated fittings.

My Apache is the red version with maple fingerboard.

Jim, you are right. I had assumed that being a 12 string Apache it would come with a scroll head. It does indeed come with a flat head as per Hank's - why I don't know.

All the best, Nick.

I had a Baldwin Double Six in Greenburst in the 80's.

It cost £90 from a shop in Southampton. Part ex-ed it for a 12 String acoustic (FOOL  ).
Even so, the Korean Club series I bought in 2002 is FAR better than the Baldwin version!

By the way I use 9's on mine and the Tri - Sonic pickups are set low as they overpower any other guitar I use in my amp if I don't want to fiddle with the settings mid- set !! Wonder what they would do on a Strat or Marvin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Brian D,

I came across the forum whilst researching the double six...

initially in Germany then sold to a collector in the Netherlands..

it would be great if your were able to provide any history at all..

Regards
Steve

I've just bought this unusual Double Six with an uncoloured neck, serial number 2038. It's all original except for the pickup switch!
