Burns Double Six

Postby demowest » Tue Jun 08, 2010 6:56 am

Hello All,

I own a Burns Double Six, serial no. 8800, made in the U.K. probably in the mid-60s.

Could somebody please give me an indication of what this guitar might be worth?

Thank you,

It very much depends on whether you can find someone who really wants one... it's not a a mainstream collectors' item.

My guess would be somewhere between £800 and £1000 ... depending on condition and whether it has its original case etc.

Hi David,

Thank you for your opinion. It seems that this guitar has been manufactured before Burns was taken over by Baldwin, in other words before September 1965. Unfortunately, I don't have a case for the instrument.

Best regards,
