Especially interested in the Split mode, but if you can confirm the others, that would be much appreciated. Meaning, what pickups are associated together in every postion and mode (a or b), etc.

I know that the first schematic nivramarvin posted explains this in the table, but I don't think those functions work exactly that way in the vintage Bison.

Let me know what you guys think.

Cheers!

The link below is from the Burns UK site- although the info applies to the reissue, it is possible that the detail of the pickup selection system may be similar to the original 62 Bison..

Hi y'all!

I finally got the original Alfons Lahaye circuit schematic! Great job, Alfons, thanks a lot for that! I thought somebody might find it useful, so here it goes, all credit to Alfons Lahaye.

Try a right hand mouse click on the image and select 'open image in new tab'- the full image is then visible comes up in a pdf format which can be saved, copied etc...

Parliament wrote:3 pickup. But the one nivramarvin posted isn't the one, I thought it was too but turns out it isn't. The original Burns circuit has 3 transformers and pins to the rotary double switch are very differently connected. If anyone has the one I'm referring to it'd be great!!

Thanks again, folks

I dont know how far you have progressed with your wiring diagram for the burns black bison? I am still rebuilding my 1962 black bison and have gained quite a bit of useful knowledge re this guitar. I have the original wiring diagram and I am in the process of linking all the wiring to the guitar components. All I need now, is a picture of the link-up from the transformers to the switches.
